Belmont Boarding Kennels and Cattery are proudly owned and operated by Euan and Jennifer Smith, who have been the custodians of the Kennels for the past 26 years. Euan and Jennifer’s devotion and commitment to the Kennels and Cattery is unquestionable, and once you have met them you will understand just what makes Belmont Boarding Kennels and Cattery the only choice when it comes to your pets next holiday away from home.
Euan and Jennifer’s love of their Chow Chow dogs over the last 40 years has seen them breed and show many Champions. Euan and Jennifer are also members of the New Zealand Kennel Club and Chow Chow Club Inc.

We take our responsibility of caring for your much-loved pet very seriously as if they where our own and we do not take that responsibility lightly. We believe we have a very good facility to which we are constantly upgrading.

Dog Grooming
Euan and Jennifer are very experienced dog groomers where ' near enough is not good enough' ! We take pride in our end
result. Our grooming facility comprises a Commercial Hydro Bath, Commercial Dryer, Commercial Hydraulic Grooming Table and all the tools needed to achieve a high standard of grooming.
All products that we use are Natural from Shampoos through to Conditioners and Colognes and are also available to purchase from us as well.
CATTERY
Our cattery was purpose built and can house up to 32 cats at any one time , The cattery is also equipped with an isolation unit. The cattery has a fully functional DSC security system which also has the added benefit of smoke detection as well which is monitored. Background music is constantly playing in the cattery as it has a very calming effect on the cats.
Service
We carry a small selection of dog and cat related merchandise which is available to purchase from us.
DOG DAY CARE
We offer this service to pet owners who can not leave their pets at home whilst they are at Work, maybe have Medical
Appointments or other situations which
take them away from home.
This Service costs $25: 00 per day.

VACCINATIONS
January 1, 2025
We require all dogs to be currently vaccinated i.e. to have been vaccinated within the last 11 months or 14 days prior to arrival. This must include the Kennel Cough ( Canine Cough ) vaccination. Please bring your Vaccination Certificate with you. We
must be able to sight this prior to
admitting your dog to stay with us.
We will NOT board any dogs or cats who do not have their vaccinations up to date, as we will not put our clients pets at risk, THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
Worming & Flea Treatment: Please ensure dogs and cats are treated if due, 14 days prior to date of boarding. This also applies to Flea treatment. Please use a Veterinary approved Brand for this purpose.
GENERAL INFORMATION

Bedding, Treats & Toys: Owners are encouraged to bring their pets bedding, treats and toys as this helps them to settle down in their new,
temporary environment. Please ensure
that all Bedding is Clean.
Please do not bring Bean Bags, Sheepskins, Hide Chew Bones etc.
Medication: Medication is administered at no extra charge. Please inform us at time of booking
if your Pet is on Medication and details
related to.
Food:
When booking your pet into our facility
we will ask what diet your pet is used to. Our Dry Food of choice is Nutrience Original and Grainfree
Premium food. We will try to keep close to the diet your dog is used to.
If your dog is on a Veterinary prescribed diet then you will need to bring that with you. If you prefer to feed your dog food other than what we supply then you are welcome to bring that with you.
Any unprocessed food must be in 'meal-sized ' containers and frozen
with directions for serving clearly noted.
In the Cattery we have a range of Wet and Dry Foods. Once again our Dry Food is Nutrience Premium and the cats just love it. We have a selection of Sachets and Tinned Foods also.
Both the Kennels and Cattery have their own fully equipped Kitchen facilities to deal with both food and
washing up in an hygenic manner.
Bringing Dogs into The Kennels:
Please have your Vaccination Book
with you when you arrive as we must sight details before your dog can enter Kennels.
Your dog must be on a lead and not let
loose on Kennel Lawn.
Bringing Cats into Cattery:
Please have your Cat Vaccination Book
with you when you come to the Cattery and please have your Cat in an appropriate Carrying Cage. If using
Card-board type please make sure that it is secure.
EXERCISE: We do not operate a Communal Exercising System. Your dog's safety is paramount with us. Your dog will be exercised on a one
to one basis with staff at least three
times per day. Each dog's faeces is
picked up prior to the next dog being exercised and so on. This means that any presence of blood, worms or any other unusual matter is documented
and relayed to owner, or, if considered
serious, to a Vet.
The kennel lawns are hosed regularly
to help keep fresh and clean.

Small Dogs $25:00 per day
Medium Dogs 26:00 per day
Large Dogs 27:00 per day
Extra Large Dogs 28:00 per day
CATTERY.
All Cats $13:50 per day
Please note that the above prices are
current (01/04/2023) but maybe adjusted as and when the necessity arises.
IMPORTANT:
You can have 'Peace of Mind' in
knowing that our Kennel and Cattery
is staffed 24/7. NEVER, at any time is this facility left un-attended.
